The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CDBG programs provide communities with resources to address a wide range of unique community development needs, including the development of quality affordable housing for individuals and families, especially those with limited income, or special needs, such as physical handicap.
